Gloria is a fantastic dog 90% of the time. In her short 9 months as Taylor family dog, she has revealed her relentless appetite for non-edibles and proven that she has a stomach of steel. Her favorite non-food item would be my underwear. She goes fishing in our laundry basket and comes up with dinner. I talked to another female dog owner who reports that her dog also has an affinity for girl undies--weird. Gloria's second favorite is plastic or rubber toys...mainly from China I think (good riddance). She also really enjoys stuffed animals. It would not be an exaggeration to say that we could easily fill a 50 gallon trash can with destroyed household objects. The destruction occurs about 3-5 times/week. You're wondering if she has chew toys of her own? If she gets enough exercise? Enough attention? YES!
Aside from my underwear, I have not "lost" anything too significant. Neither has John. The boys on the other hand are constant targets of Gloria's bad habit. We've had many talks about putting toys away, keeping things off the floor, taking responsibility for our belongings...yada yada yada. I have even banned purchasing "plastic junk." Needless to say, the cache of toys is dwindling...rapidly. Despite the discussions and losses, the boys continue their bad habit of not putting things away. Yesterday was just like any other day in the Taylor house. It went like this: Charlie yelled "MOOOOMMMM, come here quick. Gloria ate one of Cole's toys." Cole and I walked in. One look at that cat and Charlie is such a sweet brother that he promptly offered a replacement toy for his little brother.
She can be a bad little doggy, but how could you not love this 25 pound bundle of love?
