Mid-December tidbits

Decorating the tree was quite enjoyable. The boys were thrilled to see all the ornaments again after a year. Cole repeatedly commented on how "beautiful" it all was. What a cutie! Typical. Charlie sneaks into Cole's bed to snuggle, once the little bug has fallen fast asleep. But this time when I went in to check on them, Cole was sleeping on his back, head on the pillow. Charlie was on top of Cole, with his head on Cole's chest, arms and legs on either side of Cole and butt in the air. They were both sleeping soundly. Too bad Charlie woke up when I turned on the light for a picture. Charlie just received his first report card last week. Today we went to his first "student-led" parent-teacher conference. This picture shows Charlie using blocks to make an "ABC" pattern. My little boy is growing up...sob, sob. Turns out kindergarten is just one of those necessary stops before college for the brainiacs. Last night when I got home from yoga, the boys were doing some "art" on the dry erase board. Charlie's creation from left to right is: "a germ", "the antibody", and "the antibody eating the germ". My dream of parenting a sweet, little nerd is really coming along nicely;) (I didn't inquire about the bottom picture.)
