Capehorn Lakes Camping
While the "old" man spent time at his 20th year H.S. reunion in Alameda, CA, the boys, Gloria and I camped with friends. Thanks to the Reynolds and the Coles, we ate like kings and queens, fished for rainbow trout, hiked around the beautiful area and enjoyed each other's company. Despite what the pictures show, Cole did leave some dirt at the campground. Gloria also had fun with her friends Jesse and Cassie (older and wiser dogs). Gloria continues to remind us of the trip every time we pet her. She ate and rolled around with maggot-y fish heads-yummy. After 2 washings, she still smells like a real peach.
The kids most memorable part of the trip was when Cole caught the big kahuna. The Coles contingency, who are excellent fisher-people, cast the lines while the kiddos reeled in the fish. Most fish were thrown back, but Cole reeled in a lunker...as the men were calling it (at least 9 inches) and we got to bring it home. We'll be enjoying the feast tonight. The boys have been talking about the fishing since we got back last night. A good time was had by all. Thanks for inviting us Reynolds!
