Yesterday was Charlie's first soccer game with the U6 Cheetahs. The kids were speedy, as their name implies, and tended to "hunt" for the ball in a pack. All six kids playing could be found swarming around the ball at all times. It was pretty humorous! There were many goals to be had. Charlie had a great time and was such a good sport: right off the bat, he knocked over an opponent, stopped and said, "I'm sorry, are you okay?, it was an accident." I can't wait for future kid activities. I'm not typically too vocal about sporting events, but when my son is on the team, it makes it very easy to be a "cheerleader."
After soccer, Charlie and John went on a 6-7 mile bike ride. Cole and I napped. I was sooo tired from the night before when I stayed up til 2am reading Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. It's a must read for anyone interested in a 1000 page book. Oh yea, 2 little visitors came to our bed at 3:30am, each one squished closely on either side of me, like a can of sardines.
