River Camping--family style
It was a first for our family. We floated the South Fork of the Boise River, camped (at the most beautiful site ever), then floated some more the next day. The river was just rapid enough to be very exciting for the boys...especially when we "hit the raspberry-it's a classic 3 rapid" per Charlie. Gloria, loved the camping and exploring and visiting with her friend Laurel, but didn't care much for the rafting. I think she just needs a little more practice. Charlie and John spent hours fishing, while Cole and I explored the campground and visited with friends. We ate gourmet camp food ala Neinstedts, Webers and Woodruffs, and breakfast burritos made by us. Hopefully we can fit another trip in before summer's end.
