Tag O'Rama

I just now discovered that I've just been "tagged" by Danielle. I'm sure every blogger knows what it means to be tagged on a blog, but I had to do a little research (see #5). Turns out there is a game of Blog-Tag going around the blogosphere in which bloggers are sharing five or so things about themselves that relatively few people know, and then tagging five or so other bloggers to be "it." I get the drift that I'm supposed to script this without much ado. So, here are five potentially interesting facts about me:
1. This kind of thing stresses me...being put on the spot. I feel like I bumble over my words and cannot have fluent thoughts or conversation. My face reddens, my heart-rate increases, and I get that butterfly-y feeling in my stomach. Not surprisingly, I also do not like confrontation. Please don't psycho-analyze me on reasons for this one...I'm already doing it:)
2. I love whistling with my sister. It makes me smile just thinking about it. We can be a little crazy when we get together. Sometimes, while listening to music, one of us will harmonize with the artist using our whistle-y skills. This is an unspoken challenge for the other to join in. It's almost a contest to see who can whistle longer. If you haven't tried a whistling duet, you must. I'll warn you now that you'll find it impossible to whistle when you're laughing. The very best is when we can get mom going in a trio.
3. My lexicon of made-up words (not in the dictionary) would put George W. Bush to shame. The main difference may be that I intentionally do so. Of course, I can't think of any right now.
4. I'm really good at putting my own lyrics to popular songs--or any song that I may be singing at the time. Or maybe I should say "I really enjoy...". The good-ness part may be debateable. I especially like to feature my kids, much to their chagrin. I can even do it on-the-fly. I can make up jingles for almost anything, which may suggest that I've missed my calling as an advertising executive.
5. I research EVERYTHING. Even the non-important topics. I don't think I'm the most efficient researcher, but I have this inherent "need to know" quality. When I was having health issues a couple years ago, I practically researched myself into the grave...meaning I gave myself survival rate percentages, etc. Thankfully, I've cut back significantly--which I find to be healthy.

I think that's enough for now. Thank you Danielle. Hope you don't mind that I shortened the game a bit. This was surprisingly fun despite the initial pang of anxiety that overcame me when I first saw my name on your blog (yikes).
Now, what juicy tidbits do you have for me?

I did not know that you and Megan had such wonderful whistling skills! I want to hear them sometime! I did know that you research things like crazy AND that you have backed off on researching your symptoms...good job! Love you, my friend!

Ahh! I did not mean to cause such anxiety! (from one anxiety-filled girl to another...so very sorry). I did enjoy learning all those interesting tidbits about you though. Who knew you musical talents were so vast?

Thanks for playing :)

No need to apologize. I actually really like this kind of thing, despite the anxiety. I think it helps me grow. And it's interesting...in the same way that I really love People magazine. I'm hot for fun facts about others.
