For over one week now, Cole has been very attached to his backpack. He cannot leave the house without it. Today, the boys, Gloria and I went on a hike. Cole hauled his backpack along on the entire hike. A couple times Charlie sat down stating that he needed "to relax for a minute". Cole followed suit. Just after the 2nd pit stop, Cole asked us if we were "ready for a snack" and informed that "I have a banana, apple and some candy so we can get more energy to finish." The boys shared the banana and I ate the apple. Charlie and I really appreciated Cole's preparedness. When I was helping Cole into his car seat after the hike, I held the pack, which was pretty heavy. I was curious what I would find inside. Following are the contents of a survival kit of a 3.5 year old:
